Your complete guide to sourcing products directly from China — and having them delivered to your door anywhere in the world.

The short version: Find a product on Taobao, Tmall, or 1688 → paste the link into Shop.Luxxri → pay for the item → we buy it and bring it to our warehouse → once it’s packed, you pay for shipping → we send it to you with tracking. Two simple payments, full transparency, no surprises.

What is Shop.Luxxri?

Shop.Luxxri is your personal shopping agent for China’s biggest marketplaces — Taobao, Tmall, and 1688. These platforms hold millions of products at factory and wholesale prices, but they’re built for the domestic Chinese market: Chinese language, Chinese payment methods, and domestic-only shipping. That’s where we come in.

You find what you want, we handle the rest — buying it from the seller, receiving it at our warehouse, and shipping it to you internationally. You get China’s prices and selection without needing a Chinese bank account, a translator, or a freight forwarder.

How Shop.Luxxri works (4 simple steps)

We use a two-payment process — and there’s a good reason for it. You pay for your items first, and you only pay for shipping after your items have physically arrived at our warehouse and been packed. That means you’re never paying to ship something that hasn’t shown up, and your shipping cost is based on the real weight of your actual order.

Paste & add. Copy a product link from Taobao, Tmall, or 1688 and paste it into Shop.Luxxri (or add a product from our Trending section). We pull in the details and price instantly.
Pay for your items (Payment 1). Check out and pay for the product cost. We then purchase it from the seller on your behalf.
We receive & pack. Your items arrive at our China warehouse, where we check them in, weigh and measure them, and pack them for international shipping.
Pay for shipping & get tracking (Payment 2). Once packed, we notify you to choose your shipping method and pay for delivery. Your tracking number follows shortly after.

Getting started: finding products on Taobao, Tmall & 1688

You can browse the source marketplaces in your phone’s app or in a web browser. The apps usually give the smoothest experience.

To install the apps:

Taobao — search “Taobao” in the [Apple App Store] or [Google Play Store] and install. (Best for consumer retail products and trend-spotting.)
Tmall — available in the same app stores. (Best for premium and branded products.)
1688 — available in the same app stores. (Best for wholesale and factory-direct pricing — note this platform is almost entirely in Chinese.)

A tip for browsing: these sites are in Chinese, but your phone’s built-in translation (or your browser’s translate feature) makes them easy to navigate. You can also search visually — tap the camera icon and upload a photo of any product to find it and similar items.

How to find and copy a product link

Once you’ve found a product you want:

In the Taobao / Tmall / 1688 app:

Open the product page.
Tap the Share icon (usually a small arrow or three-dot menu near the top).
Choose Copy Link.
The product link is now copied to your clipboard.

In a web browser:

Open the product page.
Copy the full web address from the address bar.

That’s the link you’ll paste into Shop.Luxxri.

Important: use the correct product link format

Shop.Luxxri reads the product’s main item link — the one that contains its unique ID number. For the import to work, your link must match one of these three formats. If it doesn’t match, the product won’t load:

Taobao: https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=888847650418
Tmall: https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=793922609574
1688: https://detail.1688.com/offer/1054856026720.html

The long number is the product’s ID — that’s what we use to fetch its details.

If your link looks different, don’t worry — most links can be fixed in a few seconds. Here’s how.

If your link came from the mobile app (Taobao, Tmall, or 1688)

Links copied straight from the mobile apps come as share links — they look nothing like the format above. For example, they might look like:

https://qr.1688.com/s/YQMgNAF1 (a 1688 share link)
【淘宝】... https://e.tb.cn/h.RvpSf6aseRDS54F ... (a Taobao share message with extra text)

These share links don’t contain the product ID yet, so they can’t be used directly. But you can turn them into a working link in just a couple of steps:

Tap or open the share link in your mobile web browser (Safari, Chrome — not the app itself).
Wait for the product page to fully load.
Copy the full URL from your browser’s address bar — that longer URL contains the product ID.
Paste that URL into our live chat — our chat assistant will format it into the right structure for you. Then paste the formatted URL into the search bar at shop.luxxri.com/shop/ to load your product.

If you already have a URL but it’s long and messy

Long URLs full of ?share_token=...&spm=...&tk=... and other extras are actually fine — as long as they contain the product’s ID number, we can extract it. Just paste it in and try. If it doesn’t work, hop into chat with the link and we’ll fix it for you.

If you’re shopping on your computer

This is the easiest way — the URL from your desktop browser is usually already in the right format:

1688: Go to 1688.com, open your product, and copy the URL from your address bar. It should look like https://detail.1688.com/offer/NUMBER.html.
Taobao: Go to taobao.com, open your product, and copy the URL. It should look like https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=NUMBER.
Tmall: Go to tmall.com, open your product, and copy the URL. It should look like https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=NUMBER.

Need help formatting your link?

If your link is already in one of the three correct formats above, head straight to shop.luxxri.com/shop/ and paste it into the search bar — the product details will load and you can place your order.

If your link is in a different format (a share link, mobile URL, or anything that doesn’t match), paste it into our live chat first — our chat assistant is trained to fix URLs from Taobao, Tmall, and 1688. It’ll extract the product ID and give you back the correctly structured URL, which you can then paste into shop.luxxri.com/shop/ to order.

How to add products to your cart

You have two ways to add products:

Option 1 — Paste a product link

Go to the Shop page on Shop.Luxxri.
Paste your copied link into the product link box.
Click Fetch Details. We’ll automatically pull in the product’s images, title, price, and available options (size, color, etc.).
Choose your options, then click Add to Cart.

Option 2 — Shop our Trending products

Not sure where to start? Browse our hand-picked Trending section — popular products we’ve already sourced links for. Just choose your options and click Add to Cart. You can also explore by Collections and Categories.

Understanding your price (full transparency)

When you add a product, we show you a clear price breakdown:

The item cost — the seller’s price, automatically converted from Chinese Yuan (CNY) into US Dollars (USD) at the current exchange rate. (Multi-currency checkout is coming soon.)
Our 20% service fee — this covers us purchasing the item for you, receiving and inspecting it at our warehouse, and preparing it for international shipping.

We show you both numbers so you always see exactly what you’re paying for. The exchange rate is locked in at the moment you add the item, so your price won’t change later.

Shipping is not included in this price — it’s calculated and paid separately in Payment 2, once we know the real weight and size of your packed order. (More on that below.)

Payment 1: Paying for your items

When you’re ready, go to your cart and click Pay for items. You’ll see your full itemized total (item costs + service fee) before you confirm.

We accept secure payment by [credit/debit card and PayPal — confirm your gateways]. All payments are processed through a secure, encrypted checkout.

Once your payment succeeds:

Your order is created with the status Awaiting Reception.
You’ll get a confirmation by email and SMS.
We get to work purchasing your item from the seller.

What happens after Payment 1

Here’s what’s going on behind the scenes:

We purchase your item from the seller on Taobao, Tmall, or 1688.
The seller ships it to our China warehouse (this is domestic shipping within China, so it’s usually quick — typically [X–X days, confirm]).
We receive and check it in, then weigh and measure it so we can calculate your shipping options.
We pack it securely for its international journey.

You can follow this progress anytime from your order page.

Payment 2: Paying for shipping (and the 72-hour window)

Once your items are packed and ready, we’ll send you a notification by email and SMS with a secure link to your order page. There you’ll:

Choose your shipping method from the available options (different speeds and prices).
See the exact shipping cost, based on your order’s real weight and size.
Pay for shipping to complete your order.

Please note: you have 72 hours

Because your items are taking up space in our warehouse, we ask that you complete your shipping payment within 72 hours of receiving the “packed and ready” notification.

We’ll send you friendly reminders at 48 hours and 70 hours.
If shipping isn’t paid within 72 hours, your order may be forfeited and the items may be disposed of or resold, as described in our Terms & Conditions and Return & Refund Policy.

This window keeps our warehouse moving and our service affordable for everyone. As long as you complete your shipping payment in time, you’re all set.

Shipping, delivery & timelines

After your shipping payment is confirmed:

Your order status updates to Shipping Paid — Awaiting Shipment.
We hand your package to the carrier and add your tracking number within 24 hours.

Estimated delivery times depend on your country and the shipping method you choose:

Tracking your order

You can track your order at any stage:

Log in to your Shop.Luxxri account and open My Orders.
Select your order to see its current status and packing progress.
Once shipped, your tracking number and a tracking link will appear there (and in your email/SMS).

Order statuses you’ll see:

Awaiting Reception — we’ve purchased your item; it’s on its way to our warehouse.
Received & Packing — your item has arrived and is being prepared.
Packed & Ready — time to choose shipping and complete Payment 2.
Shipping Paid — Awaiting Shipment — payment received; we’re dispatching it.
Shipped — on its way to you, with tracking.
